Doodle for Google Contest

While we continually want to pursue activities that will provide our students opportunities to show the world what we work on at CHS, I wanted to provide this activity for our students.  CHS has officially entered the Doodle for Google contest.  If you would like to take part in this contest please feel free to contact Mrs. Lapierre or Mr. Giamanco at your convenience.  With the deadline quickly approaching after spring break I hope we'll have some students that will show the world what we truly have do at CHS.

This year’s theme is, “If I Could Do Anything, I Would…”. The winning student’s school gets $25,000 for a new computer lab, and he or she wins a $15,000 college scholarship and the chance to have his or her design on the Google.com homepage for a day for millions of people to see.
Good Luck to all students that choose to partake in this contest.

Drugs and Alcohol – Latest “Trends” with High School Students

Please remember this presentation will begin tonight at 7:00 PM in the CHS cafeteria.

We invite all parents to attend this very informative meeting with our CHS School Resource Officer, Allen Smith. Officer Smith will share with our parents/community what the latest “trends” are regarding drug and alcohol use and availability with our students. Recovery Resources will also be available to talk about resources that are available to help families who are experiencing difficulty with alcohol/drug use with their teens.

While your child may not be involved in this part of our society, this is truly an important facet that we'd love for you to understand.  It may never truly impact you but it does hit close to home for us as we work with teenagers.

AP Test Registration

We have a new on-line system, through TotalRegistration, for students to order their AP exams for the May administration. Please encourage your students to access this system by going to the home page for the website for CHS or CSHS - they have until March 12 to complete their order. After they order their AP exams. they need to print two copies of their registration form. Then, they need to bring one of the registration forms to the Guidance office at their school to pay for the exams. Each exam costs $60.00.
