Last Dragon Tribune Published

This is some of our best work of the year for our CISD newspaper students.

There is a series of stories on the front page titled "Progress the Tradition." Our students investigate improving our academic process.

With the on-line addition they have an interactive map on the front page of the newspaper to diagram where the senior students are headed.

Obviously the students are getting a handle on this new world of e-journalism and the future looks pretty bright. Hope you stay with them for the next installment in the fall.

Thank You to Volunteers

This morning we were able to honor our amazing volunteers for their help this past school year.  While we would have loved to have seen more of these amazing people today it was great to honor those that came.

CHS has been served with enough volunteer hours each week this year to amount to 2 full time staff positions.  In this day of needing every dollar to educate our kids this does wonders for our campus.  You're all truly amazing and a treasure to CHS.

One final thank you goes out to Kathy Smith, our CHS volunteer of the year.

Please remember to complete the Voice of the Dragon Survey from the CISD website.

We look forward to truly understanding everyone's information through this survey so we can better plan to meet our communities needs.

Relay for Life and Rachel's Rally Successful

As we're approaching 11:30 tonight, I want to give a giant thank you to the community of Southlake and our amazing CISD staff.  I want to give an extra special thank you to two amazing CHS staff members, Tracy Flores and Karon Hutcheson.  These amazing ladies have helped serve in such an amazing way and we're truly proud of their work.

What was truly a dream has been so much more for many people in attendance.  We'll continue all night here and continue walking for a fight against cancer.
