English Language Arts TAKS

Please remember Tuesday will be our first day of TAKS 2011. All students will be taking their English TAKS test. Our sophomores will be testing in English and our freshmen will be testing in reading. Everyone needs to arrive and be ready to test by 8 AM. Please be sure to plan for extra time getting to school as traffic will be congested. CHS will begin testing once all of our students are on campus and in their testing rooms.

College Workshop

The CSHS guidance staff will present a session with admission representatives from colleges and universities. They will present valuable information to help students and parents prepare for the college application and admission process.


A Financial Aid seminar will begin the evening, followed by four workshop sessions. Please check the website for more information and to view the universities.

Way to Go Dragons

Congratulations to our student-athletes on their amazing recent accomplishments. We are truly proud to call ourselves DRAGONS and this is why:

• Girls Basketball District Champions and Playoffs 2/14/11
• Boys Basketball Playoffs
• Wrestling District Champions and 3 Wrestlers advanced to State UIL
• Swimming District Champions, Regional Champions, numerous students off to State UIL

We are so proud of all of our kids and wish them luck in the playoffs and on their path to State Championships

Ice Break Makes Return for 8/9/11 No School

With our fourth day out of CHS we hope everyone has enjoyed your extra winter break. We will see everyone on Monday. Please be safe and enjoy the break.

If you can get out on Friday afternoon don't forget the ESPN special taking place at CSHS. We believe they will start to allow entrance after 3:00 PM.

Once Again...Schools Out Thursday

Judging by the ice I've seen at CHS we are hoping for some warmth on Thursday to allow us to return on Friday. We will post the A/B schedule tomorrow.

School Canceled

With the ice coming in overnight CHS and all activities were canceled for Tuesday and now Wednesday.

Please remember Thursday will be a B Day at CHS. We will add the two days into our calendar where they are currently listed on the calendar.
